State Supply was founded in 1983 by Ipswich residents Jim and Elaine Baker. They saw the need for a local, dedicated plumbing and heating supply house in the Ipswich area. They sought local tradesmen and worked tirelessly to get the business off the ground by offering personalized service and quality plumbing and heating products.
In 1987, the warehouse was expanded, and a showroom was added to display the latest in the exploding decorative Kitchen and Bath market, and to offer helpful design ideas for every budget.
Our commitment to the customer and our desire to provide the best possible customer service has rewarded us with loyal customers and ongoing community support.
In 2020, State Supply was acquired by Hajoca Corp. of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, one of the largest plumbing and heating wholesale distributors in North America. The Bakers had decided to move on from plumbing and heating wholesaling to travel and enjoy time with their children and grandchildren. They looked for a company that not only shared their passion for customer service, but also their appreciation of State Supply’s employees, and for that, we are forever grateful.
Just a great experience from the first phone call to the purchase. It’s great to get knowledgeable advice from a smiling, competent human being! Thanks!
Stopped by to get something to solve a tricky issue with a pipe while trying to connect my dish washer. The people working there are knowledgeable and we’re very open to helping me. They ended up suggesting a simple solution for what I was looking for. I ended up getting a stop valve that was a better choice for what I was doing. The valve was of great quality, better than the ones I found at the warehouse style hardware stores.
These folks are great always willing to help!
